The last time I took the back road to Crown King, it was cold, almost snowing and everything was frozen, nothing like the Arizona I’m used to.
This time it was a little different, it still hadn’t warmed up to the broiling temperatures of the Arizona’s desert, and we weren’t trying to crawl over frozen rocks. There was a descend amount of traffic on the trail, but we managed to fairly quickly get through most of the trail in about 4-5 hours. The trail itself was in a descend shape, but definitely rougher than it’s been in the last 10 years, which made it that much better.
Here’s a timelapse of the trail, if you’d like a better look just mute the music, click the settings icon and change the speed to .25 to see the details of the trail a little better.
